The Africa - Japan Centre (AJC) is the "Virtual Information Centre" designed to become a bridge between Africa and Japan as well as with other ASEAN countries. Through the links to other websites, AJC is conceptualized as a One Stop Online network, which is able to provide quick and updated information on selected areas and entities both in Africa and Japan. As such, AJC being an interactive network for Africa, is expected to complement the efforts underway by the ADC and other entities in Japan, namely, Government institutions, media, NGOs, and the private sector... to showcase positively Africa, a continent of 53 countries, endowed with rich and abundant natural and human resources. AJC is also expected to play a useful role in the follow-up of the TICAD IV outcomes, by providing background documents and information on the projects to be implemented under the TICAD IV plan of action adopted by African leaders and TICAD co-organizers, including the Government of Japan, The World Bank, The UNDP and the Global Coalition for Africa in Yokohama.
