The Thirteenth Ordinary Session of the Summit of the African Union Heads of State and Government officially kicked off on 24 June 2009, in Sirte in the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, at the level of the Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC), meeting at its 18th Ordinary Session, under the theme: “Investing in Agriculture for Economic Growth and Food Security”. The Summit is expected to hold from the 24th of June 2009 to the 3rd of July 2009.
