The Japan Research Institute Association (JRIA) will organize a symposium entitled “Technology Application Promotion for BOP Business: Technological Challenges and Efforts to Create Win-win Situation Business” on January 29, 2010 at the United Nations University (UNU) headquarters in Shibuya.

The purpose of this symposium is to initiate the discussion on the concept of Base/Bottom of Pyramid (BOP) and promote an interaction between Japanese potential technology owner companies, foreign embassies and companies located in Japan. Please click here for details on the symposium.

The new Director General of JRIA, Mr. Seiji OSHIMA, visited the Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps (ADC), H.E. Mr. Jean-Christian OBAME, to brief him on JRIA’s activities and to extend an invitation to all the ADC members to attend this very important symposium which is intended to enhance partnership between Japan and the nations of Africa through, inter-alia, the transfer of technology.
